Pictures of vacant houses aren't the most exciting thing, but in 2009 I felt it was really important to take some pictures of them. I had lost my apartment, and my job, and the bottom pretty much fell out of my personal life.I didn't have anything, so I decided to go back to my hometown for a while. I hadn't been to my hometown since 2004, and when I returned in 2009, I was stunned. It was like a bomb went off, people disappeared, but the buildings were left standing. This is a random picture of a vacant house. This house was located at 3400 De Anza Avenue, which is close to Merced College and Rivera Middle School. This house had this poster in it's window.
