This picture isn't the greatest, but it is sort of a sentimental favorite, I suppose. This picture was taken in 2009.I don't know what type of bird this is, but there are lots of them where I am from, and I remember them from my youth.
They frequently hang out on the ground, and they might even make their nests there.
In the background is the University of California, Merced campus.
